Oh yes - indeed...

We have been lackadaisical to the utmost... 

these last few years. 

You haven't seen us update this here 

a hell of a lot - rrrright? 

See?!? Told ya so!!! 

The proof is (in) the pudding! 

And here it will gel quick alright - 

as the jello of the lazy - and proud of it! 

First off - we've been watching TV again. 

(And it is back to what it was 5 years ago!) 

A lot of TV - too much TV!!! 

And we all know what that means... 

TONS OF COMMERCIALS! 

Such as this: 

TV... everywhere! At home - or at work! 

Or... *aggghhh* somewhere in-between!!!

Because we can, will and love to ''laze around'' 

- everywhere we can do so! 

It is the basic concept of the VACATION - duh!

NAH - not gonna patronize 

circuses or get-ups 

that misuse fathers and daughters 

- and the memories of their lost ones too... 

NEVER MORE.

The once and future queen of ATLANTIS 

might get me to make an impulse purchase... 

Or five! 

Then again - I don't think so! 

Commercials with, sometimes, not humans at all 

selling you something...

Who is this BIRD? 

Oh, right - the new cutesy-wootsy spokescritter for SHAW - 

formerly known as more DIRECT 

and, also, as ''Star Choice'' in the area... 

Anyway... it is still unclear who is more annoying; 

this birdie, ol' Toucan Sam or the Trip Advisor Owl!

Not the first owl on TV - won't be the last!

And since we have plenty of time to waste here.
there *are* other critters to consider...

Ads for TV series/shows/movies

we will never even WATCH...

Reality TV show - is that the one? 

Poldark...? Never heard of him!

And commercials for mass-consumerism 

of questionable goods - doh. 

I soon turn to something else... 

Got remote, will flip channels! 

Invariably, it is mostly NEWS... 

But not necessarily FAKE NEWS - rrright? 

Right! 

Good news like these aren't ''fake'':

Hmm... Not so sure what to do of that bit about 

a ''Graine Brulée'' though --- ?!? 

So I switched channels to get my FORECAST...! 

And MORE...! 

Hmm? ''The Disruptors''...? 

Who needs Defenders... eh? 

But this guy... 

Wasn't the Dragons' Den enough for him? 

Or the Shark Tank? 

Apparently not...  

after #Sloth it's giving in to #Greed, eh...

Oh well...

we need *news*!!! 

Never mind the vampiric eyes of the weather expert - 

or the woman in red to her left... 

The FORECAST is looking ever so GOOD...! 

Won't interrupt the CONSTANT NEWS FEED to 

watch some repeats now - come on! 

No - not even the classics...

Not even when overtaken by pure, raw nostalgia... 

No. folks...

I watch so much TV 

TO STAY INFORMED! 

Therefore, even as I make no moves; I am in Movement! 

HA - ISN'T THAT PURELY AND SIMPLY... 

LUMINOUS NOW - OR WHAT?

For this is the Information Age we live in, eh; 

stay informed OR stay BEHIND - uninformed, therefore! 

Clueless, abysmal... doh!!! Trust me now: 

YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE LEFT BEHIND! 

You want to stay on top of things - from your lazyboy! 

ON TOP - AND AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE! 

That's the way it is nowadays - or didn't you know? 

And, truth be told, I am far more addicted

to the net... the web... the blogosphere *here* 

-in my blissful QLB stance; remember-

than I am to traditional TV anymore! 

This isn't 2012 anymore... duh! 

It is all about ferreting your own news sources - 

and sharing them on your very own channel, 

if you so desire...!

Or spreading the news - 

via other means... on social media! 

or at that other place there... y'know which one... ohh...!
